This build was for Tony from California. After talking to him for a bit, we decided to go with the True Temper Dynamic Gold Spinner Shaft and the New Golf Pride Tour Velvet 3 Grip - which we'll discuss further.
The K-Grind Wedges are known for their "knuckles" that reduce resistance allowing you to hit thru the ball with less effort. The 52° lies at 63.5 with a 0.05 offset and a bounce angle of 7°. It is also available in 56° & 60°. For full specs please visit the Miura 1957 K-Grind Wedge collection.
The Dynamic Gold Spinner Wedge+ Shaft is quite unique in that it has a specially engineered section of steps just below the grip which taper in and out giving it a “waist”. It can increase spin up to 700 rpms on your approach shots which plays a key role with today’s USGA conforming grooves, especially out of the rough. The Spinner is available in Standard (Wedge) for Sand & Lob and Wedge+ for Pitching & Gap Wedges.
Here's are some pics where you can actually see the waist:
The New Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Grips weren't primarily designed wedges but they do have the look and feel of the legendary Tour Velvet non-slip surface pattern in a 360 degree design giving you the same look at address regardless of shaft orientation or adjustments.
Tony really liked the feel of this grip and the fact that it is round rather than a ribbed, which can be a good thing for a wedge as you may on occasion want to open up your wedge some or shut it down.
Here's a full shot, until next time...
